Pics or it didn't happen: 90 Days

Yes, slightly less big girls do cry. This isn't baseball!
On March 27, 2010 I promised that when I reached 90 days I would post my before and after photos. This wasn't an easy task because my vanity often gets the better of me. Honestly, it wasn't my trite sense of narcissism that held me back from posting full length photos. I just never wanted anyone to know exactly how fat I was. This journey is a lifelong quest for improved health. Thank you for coming along for the ride and, quite possibly, joining me on your own path toward healthfulness.

Now, enjoy the video and pardon the mess.

  5. Wow, I am impressed. I can see sweet curves in the June photos that were, simply, not there in May. Your torso is sculpted, your arms are strong, your upper back/shoulder blade area reveals true muscular definition now. Your chinline is more etched, your face even looks thinner and more defined and pretty. It's quite impressive. You worked hard, MissRiss, with diet and exercise, and I love your video; you really wear your heart on your sleeve and are hugely motivating. Thirty-four lbs. is a ton, for only 90 days, plus as we all know, muscle weighs more than fat, so you've really lost more than that in actual fat, and gained some of it back in muscle. I cannot say enough how every bit of the gains in those photos is a direct result of you, and only you. Sure, beachbody helped, sure mancub was supportive, sure you have blogger friends and live friends to help---but literally, it was you, MissRiss, who inched ever so closer to your goals, and hit them. I will say again, and I'd not say it if it was not true, your look in those photos is incredible. The metamorphosis is inspiring. You see yourself every day--we do not. It's wonderful, absolutely wonderful!

  6. I ♥ y'all for taking the time to comment. It's such a good feeling for me to look at the side by sides and know being persistent pays off. Now, my SON is taking his health into his own hands and working out. Gym memberships are great but not necessary. I hear that often. "If I only could afford the gym." or "But I LOVE food!!" I enjoy food, too, but it doesn't control me. It all begins in our heads. Energy is found in our minds.
Coolkayaker, you're right for certain that no one made me do it other than myself. It all just finally clicked and now this is with me for a lifetime.

  11. Wow, you look awesome! My friend does PX90 (or whatever it's called) and I think that I would pass out and die if I had to do it, so you go, girl!

  12. Hey, in honor of this post I attempted a cartwheel. I DID IT!!! And I'm still in one piece. That hasn't happened in decades. Woop! lol

Nan, you'd be shocked what you can accomplish when you tell your body to just do it. Modifications made my earlier workouts possible. I paid attention to my form and listened to my body without giving in or up too soon or easily.

Should you ever change your mind, I am a Beachbody Coach and I'd happily help you :)
It sounds cliche', but if I can do this? Anybody can.

  13. Riss -

I'm late to the party. I came to your blog to look for info on Beachbody for a friend. I found this post, and was blown away by your progress. And, when I watched your video (after I'd pimp'd your post to my friend), it made me cry, too. I'm so happy for you!!
